Terms and Conditions
1.General
Advanced Learning Singapore (hereinafter referred to as “ALS”) reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule the course and/or venue at short notice; and at its absolute discretion without assigning any reason for such cancellations, postponements or rescheduling. Please note that the course details are correct as at date of publication and it is subject to change without prior notification.
2. Registration
Online or email registration to any ALS course is binding. The course schedule is subject to change and confirmation. Classes will only be formed upon receipt of sufficient registrants. An auto acknowledge email will be sent to all registrants upon receipt of course applications. Please note that auto acknowledgement email receive does not indicate a valid registration until the full payment has been completed.
a) The registration form is to be completed by the course applicant or an authorised company representative only and should be sent at least 2 weeks before the scheduled commencement date of the course.
b) For company-sponsored registrants, registration is confirmed only when invoices are paid. For self-sponsored course registrants, a seat is only secured upon receipt of full payment. Seats are allocated based on first-come-first-served basis with full payment made and registrations will close once a class is fully subscribed.
c) All registrations are subject to confirmation and ALS will endeavour via email to notify registrants at least 10 days before the scheduled commencement date of the course.
d) The personal information collected on ALS registration form is used for course administration and for communication and customer support.
3. Payment terms
a) ALS will raise an invoice upon course confirmation. Payment must be received before the commencement of the course. Please make payment either by bank giro transfer or PayNow or cheque. A crossed cheque is to be made payable to “Advanced Learning Singapore” with the course code, course title and name of the registrants on the back of the cheque. Payments are to be made in Singapore Dollars. Please do not send post-dated cheque or cash through the mail.
b) For self-sponsored registrants, course fee is payable in full upon registration. For company-sponsored registrants, registration is confirmed when invoices are paid. Payment is to be made within 7 days from date of invoice. The payment terms are 7 days from the date of invoice or before the commencement of the course, whichever is earlier.
c) In line with Singapore’s aim to go cheque-free by 2025, we do not encourage cheque payment.
4. Cancellation/Deferment/Replacement/Transfer/Withdrawal
a) Deferments and/or transfers are not allowed once the course confirmation emails are sent to the registrants but replacements from the same company are accepted. A written notification via email of the replacement must be sent to ALS at least 1 working day before the commencement of the course.
b) A learner cannot replace the registered course with another course or replace the registered class of a course with another class of the same course.
c) No show of learner would not be accepted as a valid reason for withdrawal and/or refund. Full course fees will be charged.
d) The course fees will remain payable in full:
(i) for learners who do not turn up for the course, regardless of the reason of their absence; or
(ii) if a learner arrives late or fails to attend any part of the class; or
(iii) for withdrawal and/or cancellation of registration for any courses for which refund is expressly stated to be unavailable.
Please note that absentee charges cannot be used to offset or reduce the cost of any future courses, whether the learner wishes to enroll in the same or a different course. All fees for future courses must be paid in full as per the standard registration terms, regardless of previous absentee charges.
e) In the event that the registrant’s chosen course is cancelled by ALS prior to its commencement, ALS will make a full refund of all course fees (if any) already paid by the registrant/company. A cancellation email will be sent to registrants 1 week before course start date.
f) There will be strictly no replacement for missed classes.
g) Voluntarily requests of withdrawal and cancellation notice must be made in writing to ALS via email to advancedlearning.courses@gmail.com. Learners shall settle all outstanding bills with ALS prior to withdrawal or cancellation.
For any cancellation or withdrawal before or after the course confirmation emails are sent, organisations and/or individuals will be subjected to the following charges:

Note: For the purpose of all clauses, a normal work day/week excludes Saturday, Sunday and Singapore Public Holidays. The decision by ALS as to what constitutes a valid reason and whether the course fee is refundable is final.
5. Recording Prohibition
In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) regulations and to protect the intellectual property rights associated with our trainers’ copyrighted materials, recording of any kind, including audio recordings and video recordings, is strictly prohibited during our classes. This policy aims to ensure privacy and protect proprietary content.
Any individual found violating this policy will be subject to reporting to the relevant authorities. Appropriate actions will be taken against such violations, which may include legal measures. By participating in our classes, you agree to adhere to this recording prohibition.
6. Intellectual Property
a) The contents of and materials provided in as part of a course are the intellectual property of ALS and/or its partners, consultants, trainers and guest speakers and may not be disseminated or reproduced in any format; and are for learners’ personal, educational and non-commercial use only.
b) All reviews, feedback and comments, including post course evaluation comments, and other submissions disclosed but not described above, submitted to ALS, on this Site or in class or otherwise disclosed, submitted or offered in connection with learners use of this site or in class or other disclosed, shall be and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of ALS. For the avoidance of doubt, all intellectual property rights arising in connection with the materials or the course shall rest solely and absolutely in ALS and/or its partners, consultants, trainers and guest speakers without further compensation.
Such disclosure, submission or offer of such shall constitute an assignment to ALS of its rights, titles and interests in all copyrights and other intellectual properties in the evaluation comments. ALS will own exclusively all such rights, titles and interests and shall not be limited in any way in its use, commercial or otherwise, of any evaluation comments. ALS will be entitled to use, reproduce, disclose, modify from, publish, display and distribute any comments learners’ or any related party submit for any purpose whatsoever, without restriction and without compensating the learners’ or any related party in any way.
Learners grant ALS the right to use the name that learners submit in connection with any evaluation comments. Learners agree not to use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of any evaluation comments learners submit. Learners are and shall remain solely responsible for the content of any evaluation comments learners make and learners agree to indemnify ALS and its affiliates for all claims resulting from evaluation comments learners submit. ALS and its affiliates take no responsibility and assume no liability for any evaluation comments submitted by learners or any third party.
7. Disclaimer
a) Regarding Audio/Video Recording and Photography of Classes
(i) Classes may be video/audio recorded and photographed by ALS authorised personnel. The presence of learners at classes constitutes their consent to be photographed or video graphed. By attending ALS courses, learners consent to having their interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording, and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction used for newsletters, marketing collateral, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on web sites, social media, and/or other publicity purposes as ALS, its vendors, partners, affiliates, and/or representatives may deem fit to use. ALS reserves the right to use images and video/audio recordings taken during the class for any purpose it deems appropriate, without learners consent and providing learners with any notice or compensation. Learners who do not wish to be photographed and/or recorded should inform ALS before class begins. Learners shall release ALS, its officers, and employees and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication of interviews, computer images, video and/or audio recordings.
b) Regarding Submission of Course Registration Form and Request for Course Information
(i) By submitting an ALS course registration form, including email registration and/or requesting course information and enquiry through electronic communications, registrants and/or enquirers are consenting to ALS and its authorised service providers and marketing partners collecting, using and receiving marketing and promotional information on behalf of ALS, including news, events, upcoming courses, updates and marketing and promotional emails. Registrants and/or enquirers may withdraw their consent and unsubscribe from these at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in ALS emails.
c) Regarding Post Course Evaluation Comments
(i) By attending ALS courses and submission of evaluation, learners consent to having their post course evaluation comments published, displayed, or reproduced for newsletters, marketing collateral, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on web sites, social media, and/or other publicity purposes as ALS, its vendors, partners, affiliates, and/or representatives deem appropriate. ALS reserves the right to use learners post course evaluation comments for any purpose it deems appropriate, without learners consent and providing learners with any notice or compensation. Learners shall release ALS, its officers, and employees and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the printing, collecting, taking, recording, digitising, or publication of the post course evaluation comments.
8. Limited Liability Clause
ALS, its officers, agents and employees shall not be liable for any loss, damages and/or injury, including loss of life, which learners of our courses may suffer arising out of or in connection with our courses, whether the loss, damage and/or injury was suffered at any other venue(s) in connection with our courses.
9. Indemnification
Learners agree and undertake to fully indemnify and hold ALS and its shareholders, directors, officers, employees and trainers harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees and disbursements on a full indemnity basis) directly or indirectly caused to ALS and/or related to your use of this Site.
10. Confidentiality Clause
Personal data collected on ALS registration form is used for course registration, course administration and customer support. ALS is committed to maintaining confidentiality of all personal information at all times and undertakes not to disclose learner/sponsoring company information to any 3rd party (other than Singapore government authority) without prior consent of the learner/sponsoring company subject to the obligation of ALS to disclose to any Singapore government authority any information relating to the learner/sponsoring company in compliance with the law.
