1-Day Editing and Proofreading Skills Course

Course Overview

This course is created, owned, and trained by its original creator,  Ms. Florence Au. Learn from the original creator.

In this workshop, you will learn how to change your draft business document, including email, into one that is coherent, error-free and fit for distribution or submission to your boss.

You will start by editing the structure of your document.  Then you will move on to proofread your writing style, refine your grammar and spelling and, finally, work on the format.

Writing is a skill, and like any skill, one has to practice. Learners are encouraged to advance the skills and knowledge acquired from this course with other related courses, such as Writing Better Emails and Editing and Proofreading Skills to write your way to success.

Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand clearly the distinction between editing and proofreading
  • Have a better understanding of common editing and proofreading problems
  • Apply the practical knowledge and techniques for proofreading and editing
  • Appreciate the process for ensuring your business documents are clear and error-free

This course is for anyone who needs to improve the effectiveness of their written communication.

Learners are guided through practical steps of the topic with a combination of lectures, online quizzes, motivational game, card activities, interactive presentation, editing exercises and small group discussions.
